Children taught chess do better in school and better in life. Chess helps develop valuable reading, research, decision-making and social skills. It improves students’ ability to concentrate. Research and experience suggest that chess benefits the mental acuity of people of all ages. USCT supports chess in the community, providing sets throughout the U.S., especially to programs aiding needy children, veterans, and the elderly. We provide significant scholarships and other educational support.
