The SEPI Programme has officially wrapped its first year —and what a journey it's been! 🌱🌍 Funded by the SEUPB , the SEPI (Shared Education for Positive Innovation) programme brought together schools from across Northern Ireland, the border counties, Cork and Galway to build lasting relationships and tackle climate change through education, innovation, and collaboration. Highlights from the programme: ✅ Over 700 students from 76 schools completing the programme ✅ SEPI students completed climate and peacebuilding courses on the SEPI Academy ✅ Cross-border and cross-community school clusters came together to create solutions to real-world sustainability challenges ✅ 11 Impact Days with hands-on design thinking sprints with innovative businesses ✅ Masterclasses with industry leaders to refine student-led climate solutions ✅ A powerful final Climate Summit at the ICC, where top teams pitched solutions on the main stage. Congratulations to our winning SEPI 24-25 team who presented their creative solution to issues surrounding harmful algae in Lough Neagh. SEPI proved that by bringing diverse communities together, we can equip young people with the tools to lead, collaborate, and innovate for a more sustainable future.
