Congregation Shaarei Teshuvah, also known as JPSI, is much more than a ‘chaplaincy’ organization, its primary focus is on pastoral care for Jewish prisoners, releasees and their families. Congregation Shaarei Teshuvah, also known as Jewish Prisoner Services International [JPSI] is a chaplaincy agency of the Jewish community that is charged with the mission of assisting prisoners and their families. Much of JPSI's activities and resources are dedicated to ongoing efforts toward insuring that incarcerated persons are afforded appropriate opportunities to practice their chosen faiths, and that after their release that they can find community and the support they need to successfully reintegrate into society in a way to reduce likelihood of recidivism.
