This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are celebrating the transformative impact of our new Wellness Intensive! 🌱☀️ This recurring eight week program builds a cohort of participants who can support and encourage each other along their mental health journeys. Participants learn about practical, evidence-based ways to manage symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression. Our social work team connects participants with healing modalities like acupuncture, massage, tapping, TRE, breath work, tai chi, and more so they can try a variety of mind-body tools and see what works for them. By the end of the eight weeks, participants leave with new tools, knowledge, and strategies for managing their mental health. Equally as important, they also leave with new meaningful relationships built during the program. These kinds of relationships are the backbone of Bastion’s residential community, and through programs like our Wellness Intensive, we are able to expand this impact for non-resident community members. Thank you to Infinite Hero Foundation for funding this program and making this impact possible! 🌟 (fb)

The Bastion veteran community is sending love, support, and appreciation to all of the military families here in New Orleans and around the country who are honoring a fallen loved one today. We stand with all veterans who are grieving their fellow service members and encourage anyone who is struggling today to connect with a friend or neighbor, engage in an act of self care, or call/text 988 if you need support immediately.
