International Coach Federation Foundation

The International Coach Federation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization within the ecosystem of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). It was established to extend the impact of coaching beyond professional development, focusing on social progress and the well-being of society as a whole.

Mission and Objectives

The Foundation's mission is to accelerate and amplify the positive impact of coaching on societal challenges. It aims to make coaching accessible to those who may not have the means to access it, thereby catalyzing social systemic change and promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Initiatives

• Pro Bono Coaching Frameworks: The Foundation cultivates frameworks for pro bono coaching services, providing coaching at no or reduced cost, depending on the project's scope, to serve the public good.
• Research and Impact Assessment: It engages in and curates research to demonstrate the effectiveness and multiplying effect of coaching in advancing social progress.
• Coaching Scholarships: The Foundation offers scholarships to individuals from underrepresented communities, connecting them with resources needed to enter the coaching profession. These scholarships include tuition support for ICF-accredited coaching programs, complimentary membership for one year, waived credentialing application fees, and mentorship opportunities.
• Ignite Program: Through the Ignite Initiative, the Foundation leverages collective efforts with ICF chapters and members to support organizations working towards the UN SDGs. This includes six-month coaching engagements at a reduced rate, aimed at accelerating the positive impact of these organizations.

The Foundation aligns its activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on goals such as No Poverty, Climate Action, and Partnerships for the Goals.
