Catholic Social Services hosted a new event last week titled Bluegrass with the Bishop. It was a fun evening of food, fellowship, and a live band on the campus of The Pontifical College Josephinum. Bishop Earl K. Fernandes joined nearly 300 people, including Governor and Mrs. DeWine, our Emcee, Robyn Haines, from NBC4 many generous benefactors, board members, and volunteers of CSS, all of who helped make this event a true expression of hospitality! Bishop Fernandes was the keynote speaker and spoke of the role hospitality plays in the ministry of Catholic Social Services and expressed his gratitude for how the CSS team, partners, and volunteers all work to welcome the stranger, accompany new mothers, and bring compassion to the lonely.
