Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL) is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the legal rights of senior citizens and low-income persons with disabilities in Cook County. The Center for Disability & Elder Law, Inc. (CDEL) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) legal services organization which provides pro bono legal services to the most vulnerable yet underrepresented residents of Cook County. CDEL has a dual mission, which has remained constant since the organization was founded in 1984: 1. To provide free legal services to low-income seniors and persons with disabilities who reside in Chicago and suburban Cook County, Illinois. 2. To foster the spirit of pro bono service throughout the Chicago and Cook County legal communities.

About the organization

Our society has a fundamental obligation to guarantee justice for all of its members. The Center for Disability Elder Law CDEL has been expanding access to justice to persons marginalized by poverty age andor disability for over forty years. CDEL provides free legal services to lowincome seniors and people with disabilities throughout Cook County. We focus our efforts on matters related to financial and housing stability estate planning including endoflife planning divorce and adult guardianship.
