Oh what a difference a day makes (in Wisconsin)! 😎☀ These photos were taken on Tuesday, during the second of two outings taken by RCS Participants to @maywoodsheboygan @Maywood - Ellwood H. May Environmental Park. Just one day prior, Participants tromped, hoods up and hands stuffed in coat pockets, through snow-covered groves! 🥶 Accompanied by Karli, RCS participants learned about the process of making maple syrup and, after trying homemade syrup on pancakes, learned about the steps to make syrup. Outside, they were taught how to identify the correct tree to tap, watched fresh syrup being poured from the boiling sap, and took a walk to observe the full bags attached to the trees. Participants even had the chance to try the cold fresh sap straight from the bag! Everyone had a great time learning from Kendra at Maywood.
