Pageturner's Pulse: Our March 2024 Update Wherever you come down on the Daylight Saving Time vs. Standard Time debate, we all welcome the arrival of spring. Well, maybe not some allergy sufferers, but Happy Spring to everyone. First off, we want to welcome our new teacher partners at Alameda Community Learning Center, and the 90 students now joining the classroom program. We also delivered 20 more Kindles to Envision Academy in Oakland. Our discussions with the Alameda Unified School District continue. If it goes through, this will be Pageturner’s first district-wide partnership. Along those lines, we are also in the very early stages of talks with members of the executive team at a northern California charter school organization with more than a dozen schools. We’ve had two classroom programs established at two of their schools, and it’s exciting to be talking to the leadership team. Remember the 2,000 Kindles Worldreader donated in 2022, and the 300 they donated last year? Well, they discovered a cache of about 500 devices in their warehouse in Napa. We’re just working out the logistics for picking them up. In addition, the generosity of our individual supporters continues to amaze us, whether it’s in the form of cash or devices (including many brand new devices we recently received). Thank you very much! Until next month. (fb)
