As a community foundation, we foster philanthropy and cultivate resources to address needs and meaningfully improve lives in the Summit, NJ area. We provide grants, scholarships, and donor-advised distributions to strengthen the community. We are a 501(c)(3) community foundation that fosters philanthropy in the Summit NJ area by identifying local needs and offering donors flexible ways to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.

We were delighted to receive an update from our grantee, Our House. We recently supported them with a $7,850 grant to enhance security at their group homes. These funds helped install a new, state-of-the-art keyless entry system at their Greenfield group home in Summit.

We're thrilled to spotlight the work of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, recipient of a $10,000 grant from The Summit Foundation this past June. This grant supports VACNJ's outreach programs, bringing means of creative expression to all members of our community. Through partnerships with organizations like SAGE Eldercare, Empowering Kids Organization, Summit PEP Program, and ECLC of New Jersey, VACNJ is removing barriers and making art accessible to all, from fostering memory care and social interaction among seniors at SAGE to building language skills with EKO students.
