Primary mission of Citizens Oversight is to promote CIVIC ENGAGEMENT by citizens providing oversight over their local, state and federal governments and related agencies and private partnerships. Citizens Oversight has conducted many specific oversight projects, most recently including the San Onofre Nuclear power plant and the nuclear waste on the beach (Stop Nuke Dump!) and our HELMS proposal as a prudent direction for our nuclear waste problems. Secondly, we have been engaged in the ELECTION INTEGRITY Field, have devised the Snapshot Protocol to provide very careful oversight of ELECTION AUDITS, culminating in a lawsuit against San Diego County Registrar (which we won!) and now extending in our Open Ballot Initiative. Looking for volunteers nationwide to be effective citizens.
