We help promote the area to people like you. We hope you will join us in our mission of supporting this beautiful place located along the Mississippi River in southeast Iowa, Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge provides more than 6,700 acres of habitat for migratory birds. As a major stop on the Mississippi Flyway, the Refuge is a haven for waterfowl but is also home to bald eagles, warblers, woodpeckers, shore birds, turtles, snakes and butterflies.
