Youth of Promise high school volunteering with @lafoodbank! 🥦🥕🛒🫑 During their shift this month, YOP packed 4,058 food kits & 17,630 lbs of produce for Angelenos impacted by recent wildfires & those experiencing food insecurity. YOP provides two volunteer opportunities for youth each month, which helps them meet graduation requirements and connects them to communities across LA! (fb)

Almost 95% of YOP youth attend PUSD schools. When it became clear that they would not be back in class for at least a week due to the Eaton Fire, YOP developed "out of school" activities that aimed to get youth out of the area and give them a chance to decompress. YOP visited the Aquarium of the Pacific, the trampoline park, went to the movies, bowled, and went to the Natural History Museum! (fb)
