Project Purr
For over 37 years, Project Purr has humanely reduced the feral cat population by funding a county-wide low cost feral cat spay/neuter program, available to all Santa Cruz County residents, regardless of income, no voucher required. Humanely decreasing the number of cats/kittens surrendered to the shelter allows more adoptable animals to find homes and less euthanasia for all cats.

Project Purr nbsp nbsp Rescued Treasures Has Closed Every day since Project Purr opened Rescued Treasures an animal rescue benefit shop there has been a continual and heartwarming outpouring of community support. Hugely successful for seven years the downtown Santa Cruz stores proceeds resulted in over 10000 feral cats and kittens being spayedneutered humanely reducing the feral cat population while providing advocacy and education. The shop has now closed permanently but not without huge appreciation for everyone who lovingly supported us and the kitties along the way. But waittheres more.
