In 1925, Mt. Helix Park, was built in honor of a mother, for the families of the community to enjoy. A private, nonprofit, nature preserve located at 1400ft with an easy hiking trail, native habitat, large amphitheater, 35 ft cross, & breathtaking views. The Park, which is on the California State historical register, is run by a foundation whose mission is to ensure the preservation and enhancement of Mt. Helix Park as well as to promote the enjoyment of the Park for the benefit and cultural enrichment of the people of San Diego.
