We had an amazing turnout at the San Felipe Creek cleanup this past Saturday! 39 volunteers collected 1,000 pounds of trash from in and around the San Felipe Creek in Del Rio, TX. On behalf of The Devils River Conservancy and San Felipe Creek Coalition, thank you to everyone who participated! We also want to acknowledge Rio Bravo Disposal, who graciously donated their services in support of the San Felipe Creek cleanup. This event was part of the Trash Free Gulf campaign, a state-wide effort started by the Gulf Trust, who partnered with H-E-B’s Our Texas, Our Future to provide supplies and other resources for over 40 local cleanups across Texas this month while raising awareness about the importance of keeping litter out of our waterways and the Gulf. #TrashFreeGulf #SanFelipeCreek #DelRioTX #TurningTheTideTogether #OurTexasOurFuture #DevilsRiverAdvocates (fb)

HB 3333 passed the Texas House today! While there are still several steps to go, this is cause for celebration.   Thank you again @moralesfortexas for championing this bill, as well as the folks who helped get it on the House Calendar and everyone who submitted testimony or comments for the earlier committee hearing. HB 3333 has so much support and we’re excited by what we’re achieving together. Let’s ensure the Devils River in Val Verde County remains pristine for future generations to enjoy.   We will share news about companion bill in the Senate soon, as well as how you can support that complementary effort.
