In connection with the Volvo Ocean Race's stop in Miami from May 6th through 20th, 2012, the organization served as the host committee, constructing, maintaining, and provisioning the VOR Miami Downtown Village, while seeking to promote water and marine life conservation initiatives through interactive and hands-on educational activities for local area K-12 students who visit the VOR Miami Downtown Village.
