A heart felt Memorial Day Flag Raising in partnership with the City of Fountain Valley and West Orange County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post & Auxiliary 9557. FVPD Honor Guard kicked off the ceremony. Assemblyman Ta, Mayor Bui, Vice Mayor Cunneen, City Council Members Harper, Constantine and Grandis with former Mayors Crandall and Nagel were touched by the stories shared by Sergeant David King from the Vietnam War. Mayor Bui remembered his dad and their experienced before, during, and after the war in the United States. Fountain Valley Community Foundation President Matt Taylor along with former Mayor Crandall thanked our service men and women along with their families and shared FVCF Honored Heroes Banner Program to honor those in service. We continue to remember those who served, is serving and their families for all their sacrifices for the freedom we have today and into the future.
