Childrens Resource Network of the Central Coast
The Mission of the Children’s Resource Network of the Central Coast is to:PROVIDE disadvantaged children and at-risk youth in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County with free clothing, blankets, books, backpacks, school supplies, diapers, toiletries and other items to meet their educational and personal basic needs. Such support and resource availability at their current stage of life is critical for developing their self-confidence and self-esteem. It enables them to excel in school and achieve educational goals for realizing their full potential. Such a strong foundation ensures that as adults they will be caring, responsible and productive community members.INSPIRE the children, through our programs, to help other children in need. The realization of the fact that they can make valuable contributions through selfless-service gives them a sense of empowerment --- a feeling foreign to many of them until then.STRIVE for continuous-improvement of organization’s systems and operating procedures for enhancing the scope and quality of its services to better meet the needs of disadvantaged children and at-risk youth.SEEK support from the community and other sources at the level that matches the demand, growing at an accelerated pace, for our services. This is critical for being able to provide vital resources on a continuing basis to the disadvantaged children and at-risk youth --- the future of our community.
