Congratulations to Trish LoVerde, who is the 2025 Lea S Wagner Service Award recipient Trish has an extensive volleyball background as both a player and coach. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, Mathematics, and Secondary Education, with a Coaching Endorsement from Clarke College, and an Associate of Science from Morton College. As a player, Trish was highly decorated throughout high school, college, and adult club volleyball. She earned multiple MVP, All-Conference, and All-Tournament honors, including being named the 2001 Skyway Conference Player of the Year and an NJCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American. She has played adult volleyball for over 18 years, winning five national championships and several MVP awards. Trish promotes volleyball among younger players in several meaningful ways. As a high school coach at Reavis High School for nearly two decades, she develops players' skills, encourages them to pursue club volleyball, and helps foster a passion for the sport. Her passion for the game led her to advocate for expanding adult club volleyball awareness among younger players. She took the initiative to spread awareness about adult club volleyball, ensuring that younger players know they can continue competing at a high level beyond their school years. She spearheaded a mass email campaign to inform all USA Volleyball members about adult volleyball opportunities, helping bridge the gap between youth and adult participation in the sport. Her dedication extends beyond coaching—she has served as a Great Lakes Adult Volleyball Representative from 2016 to 2022 and now acts as an Independent Rep, working to expand access and engagement in volleyball at multiple levels. She's committed to keeping the love of the game alive for future generations. Trish expresses gratitude for her lifelong connection to volleyball. She is honored to be nominated for an award associated with Lea Wagner, a trailblazer in the volleyball community. (fb)
