Milesburg Museum and Historical Society is registered as a sponsor with Wreaths Across America for 2025. The host Cemetery is Union Cemetery Bellefonte. Bellefonte Union Cemetery, Milesburg American Legion Auxiliary 89, Milesburg Lions Club, and Milesburg Museum and Historical Society have combined efforts for this year to try and get the 900 plus wreaths needed for our Veterans interred at: Advent Cemetery, Bellefonte Union Cemetery, Milesburg Cemetery, Swamp Poodle Cemetery, and Trcziyulny Cemetery. For the next few days Wreaths Across America will match our wreaths purchased. Please take advantage and donate to this cause before January 17, 2025, and get double the effect. Ladies GAR Department of PA has purchased 100 wreaths to get us started with 200 wreaths towards the 900 total anticipated. Milesburg Museum is storing artificial wreaths which will cover about 50 graves. We have about 650 Wreaths to go to cover all our Veterans. We are 25% there and can use the help to reach the 900-wreath mark. $5 from each wreath purchased is returned to the sponsoring non-profit.
