Our Mission The Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation is to generate investments of public and private funds that enhance and support the goals of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission to inspire others to use Pennsylvania39s history in meaningful ways. Pennsylvanias Underrecognized History Our second annual PHF Essay Scholarship is here. We are asking applicants to prepare an essay of up to 1500 words about a person location or event that has been underrecognized in Pennsylvania History. Two cash awards of 1000 and three awards of 500 will be presented for the best essays received.
