With summer rolling around again, a Patriot Service Dogs tradition continues! Service Dog Summer School! From late May to Early August, over 50% of PSD’s dogs in training head out of our WOOF Prison Training Program and into the homes of dedicated volunteers across Central Florida. During this time, the dogs learn how to live in a new household, how to use their skills in public places, and how to be a part of a family. This year, we are sponsored! For the first time, Service Dog Summer School is completely sponsored by a very generous donation of $15,000 from @rawznaturalpets 🐾❤️ After discovering that Rawz donates 100% of their profits, one of our WOOF Program trainers, Ms. Brenda, wrote a letter to the team at Rawz to explain how our unique community accomplishes a big mission. Much to our surprise, Rawz wrote back—and wanted to partner with Patriot Service Dogs! Since Rawz is focused on supporting community programs, we introduced their team to Service Dog Summer School and the way our volunteers open their hearts and homes to service dogs in training. They immediately loved the program and jumped in to sponsor the entire 2025 team!! We could not believe it! This sponsorship made it possible for PSD to buy fresh supplies for each dog, order volunteer shirts, and cover trainer/dog transportation costs. For a small non-profit like Patriot Service Dogs, this made a huge difference to our annual budget. Thank you to Rawz for believing in our program, all of the volunteers for taking on the challenge of raising a service dog, and all of the WOOF Program trainers who prepared our dogs for this summer.
