THIS will fill your heart ♥️ … 5th grade students at Lakin Middle School read the novel “The Lemonade War” that pits siblings against each other to see who can win a prize in a lemonade stand competition. At the conclusion of the novel, the students hosted a “Lemonade War” for a student-selected charity. Students were passionate about supporting cancer patients in Southwest Kansas and they selected The Leave a Legacy Foundation as the recipient of the proceeds from their lemonade stands. Students created a menu, set prices, and advertised their stands. Parents and families generously donated the additional items sold in the stands while the school provided the lemonade. We had 10 stands that raised a combined total of $2,224.72. 👏👏👏👏👏 The Leave a Legacy Foundation can’t thank you enough and we are humbled to be the charity that you selected.
