The American Mural Project (AMP) celebrates the diverse and dynamic spirit of American workers through the exhibit and the power of collaborative art. Located in an historic mill in Winchester, Connecticut, our monumental 120-foot-long, five-story-high mural stands as a tribute to the dedication, creativity, and resilience of individuals across the nation. Our mission is to inspire and challenge viewers to recognize the profound impact of their own contributions to American culture. Through the vibrant depictions in the mural by artist Ellen Griesedieck, the collaborative artwork of over 15,000 students from 17 states, and our related public programs, we honor the rich tapestry of work in America.
