Firefighters Burn Institute is dedicated to providing recovery and support services to both burn survivors and those who love and care for them. The Firefighters Burn Institute is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by Sacramento Fire Captain Cliff Haskell and the Sacramento Area Firefighters, Local 522 in 1973 for the purpose of establishing a local burn treatment facility; providing recovery programs for burn survivors; promoting fire and burn prevention through public education; funding education for medical burn team professionals, firefighters, and burn survivors; and supporting burn treatment and rehabilitation research.

Recovery programs for burn survivors and firefighters Supporting the physical social and emotional wellbeing of those affected by burn injuries. Special events and fundraisers Join us for a variety of events and fundraisers to help raise awareness and funds for FFBI. Firefighters Fill the Boot for Burns Boot Drive Donations collected during Boot Drives are used to improve burn treatment and fund lifealtering burn recovery programs.
