🌱 It’s Parenting Month! 💛👨👩👧👦 This June, we join the global celebration of parents and caregivers with the theme "Raising Parents", a powerful reminder that parenting is a journey we learn and grow through. To support parents and caregivers in this journey, we’re launching a set of cards with 40 spiritually enriching activities for children up to 8 years old. The activities are drawn from the Toolkit: Nurturing the Spiritual Development of Children in the Early Years. Simple yet meaningful, they are designed to build empathy, connection, and joy. 👉 Explore, download, and share the cards available at https://childspiritualdevelopment.org/library-of-activities/ Use them with your children or share them with the parents and caregivers in your communities! Let’s celebrate the sacred journey of raising children and raising ourselves along the way. --- Consortium members: The African Early Childhood Network, Arigatou International, Catholic Relief Services, ECPC - Early Childhood Peace Consortium, The Fetzer Institute, Islamic Relief Worldwide, Islamic Relief Pakistan, International Institute of Islamic Thought, INEB - International Network of Engaged Buddhists, United Nations Office on Violence against Children, Pastoral da Criança, Shanti Ashram, Université de Montréal, World Council of Churches, World Vision International, Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC), Ladies Joint Forum, GNRC- Tanzania, End Child Poverty, Prayer and Action for Children, Sarvodaya. @followers #Parenting #ParentingMonth UNICEF (fb)

🎥 A belt. A sandal. A ping pong racket. What do these objects have in common? They are all used, too often, as tools to inflict corporal punishment on children. With these three objects on his desk, Dr. Etienne Krug, Director of Social Determinants of Health at the World Health Organization (WHO), advocated for ending violence against children at the event “Corporal Punishment of Children: A Global Public Health Concern”. His message was clear: Corporal punishment is harmful, deeply detrimental to children’s health, and a barrier to their future. The event was co-hosted by Arigatou International, WHO, and Save the Children International, with the support of the Governments of Costa Rica, Colombia, and Kenya, and held last week at the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly. What can we do to ensure that no child grows up in fear? #EndCorporalPunishment (fb)
