Another academic year is coming to and end, so we want to take a minute to talk about a free program we offer Cleveland area schools. Last year, we visited several classrooms and taught 114 students and teachers what epilepsy is, what a seizure looks like, and how to respond if someone has a seizure. Our case managers tailor each presentation to the age of the students, and we even have puppets to help the younger kids understand! We also offer this free training to Cleveland area orgs and businesses. 1 in 10 people experience a seizure in their lifetime, so the information we share does apply to everyone, not just those who know someone with epilepsy!
