A lawsuit was filed today by Earthjustice, thanks to Pacific Islands Heritage Coalition, Conservation Council for Hawai'i, Center for Biological Diversity and Kapa’a in response to a Proclamation signed by President Trump April 2025 that attempts to lift a ban on commercial fishing in the Pacific Islands Heritage Marine National Monument.
