Author William Arthur Ward once said, “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” Dr. Dennis Woggon epitomized this in the field of non-surgical scoliosis correction. Founder of the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute, he devoted his life to advancing chiropractic care for scoliosis patients. Dr. Dennis began his career in 1974, after marrying his soul mate, Brenda Joy Rhodes. He founded the St. Cloud Chiropractic Clinic, where he served patients from around the world for over 50 years. In 2000, he developed a technique for helping people with scoliosis and founded the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute non-profit organization, serving as its chairman until 2016. Dr Woggon was the first to recognize the potential of Whole-Body Vibration to help people with scoliosis and from there continued to research and develop both technology and techniques that forever changed the trajectory of scoliosis reduction and the health of scoliosis patients worldwide. Dr. Dennis Woggon achieved international recognition as a true spinal expert on the topic of chiropractic scoliosis treatment, yet always remained humble and kind to everyone who came to him seeking knowledge and healing. Dr. Dennis was also passionate about advancing and investing in the future of scoliosis care and research. While it was not widely known, he did not believe in profiting from his inventions. Instead, he never accepted royalties from the sales of any of his devices or materials; he reinvested everything back into the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute to support his dream of helping more people improve their quality of life while living with scoliosis. In May of 2024, after 50 years of practice, Dr. Woggon retired and sadly and unexpectedly passed away in September 2024. Dr. Dennis contributed immensely to our lives and the field of chiropractic and scoliosis care. He envisioned the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute as his lasting legacy. As we approach the six-month anniversary of his passing, the Board of Directors of the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute is reaching out to encourage you to join us in continuing that legacy. In his honor, the CLEAR Scoliosis Institute (501c3) has established the Dennis Woggon Memorial Fund, a $50-a-month contribution, honoring Dr. Dennis Woggon’s 50 years of service to the community and the field of scoliosis care. The funds allocated to this organization will be specifically designated for advancing the CLEAR Scoliosis name, supporting grant applications, research publication, public engagement, and further development of Dr. Woggon’s original educational materials and technology. Contributions to this fund will help the CLEAR Institute maintain its role as the leading provider of scoliosis advancement, and support our mission to make non-surgical scoliosis care available to all.
