Even the smallest of littles matter...big time! We often run into children who are 2 years and younger while weaving our way through hospital hallways wherever we're called. Some would argue that those children won't remember our visits much and therfore, their visits don't hold the same weight and value as visits with kids who are older. We couldn't disagree more. Even if younger children go on to live full lives and don't recall our visits in their time of need, that's ok because we operate solely in the moment, for the moment. That means, a smile today is a win today and THAT'S our goal. There is however, one set of very important people who will remember the visit throughout time, and that's the parents. The presence of potential joy that we offer is always welcomed with open arms to mothers and fathers who find strength and rejuvenation in the smiles of their children. That alone is worth it to us. 😊 Spider-Gwen accomplished all that and more for this little one pictured and their parents. Setting the example, raising the bar. Yesterday, our very own Spider-Gwen made her way to Roseville Kaiser in California to visit kids (and their families) in hopes of raising some spirits, and you can see by this young ladies reaction, she did just that! When children are met with kindness (especially at their lowest) and shown unconditional care, it not only sets an example (or proof) that good people still exist in our world, but also sets a bar of who they can aspire to be themselves and what standards they put in place of those they one day surround themselves with. We'll never make the world a better place if we continue planting seeds of hate and division. Feels oversimplified to say this but, lead with love my friends.
