Brothers Against Banging Youth Restoring Hope for Our Future by Empowering Youth to Succeed BABYs mission is to prevent young people in South Los Angeles from entering gangs and to reduce the impact of gang activity on our communities. Our interventions keep students off the streets and in school promote peace in and around our school communities foster safe and resilient learning environments and advance youths core life and coping skills. BABY Executive Director Recognized as an Unsung Hero. We are honored to announce that our Executive Director Charles Bear Spratley has been nominated by Senator Sydney Kamlager SD30 for the California Legislative Black Caucus 2022 Unsung Hero Recognition.
