The organization was founded in 1944 by Jessie Elizabeth Bardens, with the first meeting held on April 6, 1944, in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Initially, the group focused on the study and collection of antiques, which sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among its members.

State and provincial meetings are held twice annually, focusing on broader historical themes, while an annual international convention takes place in the spring. This convention includes tours of historical sites, lectures, and business meetings.

Grants and Scholarships

Questers Inc offers preservation and restoration grants at both the international and state/provincial levels. Additionally, the organization provides historical education grants internationally.
