Alaska Farmers Market Association AFMA is a nonprofit organization aiming to improve the wellbeing of Alaskas communities through resources and grant opportunities for Alaskas agricultural community. AFMA seeks to connect farmers to their customers while supporting a statewide network of farmers market managers farm stands CSAs food hubs vendors and local food enthusiasts. In 2005 Alaskas Division of Agriculture had 13 markets registered today there are 56 farmers markets in Alaska providing communities with healthy sustainable food resources to all Alaskans.
