The primary purpose is to provide a safe haven to parrots who often require special attention, dependent on a permanent place they can live with a flock and without the stress of being on the constant move every few years or more often. Birds are often rehomed several times because many people, though they may have the best of intentions, are simply not equipped to care for these intelligent birds with myriad needs. Our sanctuary is not a temporarily place for birds but a permanent solution with no adoption or foster care system. It operates on behalf of the parrot’s lifetime care focusing on for the best interest of the bird and provides a permanent residence that ensures birds are never subjected to harm or exploitation.

WHATS NEW Under My Wing Avian Refuge The primary purpose of a parrot sanctuary must always be to provide a safe haven to parrots who often require special attention depend on a permanent place they can live with a flock and without the stress of being moved every few years. A succession plan is imperative whether you run a sanctuary or a rescue. No one is exempt from life events. Due to Paulas health and Scotts passing the sanctuary had to proceed with our succession plan.
