THE MISSION OF THE WASHINGTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS TO ACQUIRE, PRESERVE, AND DISPLAY WASHINGTON HISTORY. WHILE MAINTAINING A MUSEUM IS A PARTIAL FOCUS, WASHINGTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY MAINTAINS A LIBRARY WITH SIGNIFICANT RECORDS, ALLOWING GENEALOGY RESEARCH AS WELL AS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS SUCH AS TIME TRAVELS IN TRUCKS AND TRUNKS TO THE LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS. WASHINGTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY ALSO PROVIDES FREE PRESENTATIONS AND PROGRAMS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR HISTORICAL INTEREST AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

Antique Toy Display This Historical Society will hold a special exhibit of Antique Toys from January 23 and run through March 29. This exhibit is a progression of toys through the ages. The Society will be open for the exhibit as follows Tuesdays and Thursdays 1000 100 Saturdays 1000 130 There will be a suggested donation of 5 person to help defray the costs of this special exhibit. To accompany the toy exhibit the WHS will have three programs to enhance our knowledge of the history of toys and the role toys play in human development.
