Hhc Foundation of New York City Inc
The HHC Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), was created for the specific purpose of developing public/private partnerships to support innovative, evidence-based programs at HHC. As the largest municipal healthcare system in the United States, HHC's mission is to provide quality healthcare to New York City's residents, visitors and workers, regardless of the ability to pay. With a mandate to serve the underserved, HHC provides quality care to 1.3 million New Yorkers, including 400,000 uninsured and underinsured. Programs supported by the HHC Foundation lie outside the scope of HHC’s annual budget, but serve unmet needs in the patient population.
