Granville Ohio Historical Society

The Granville Ohio Historical Society (GHS), established on March 9, 1885, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Granville, Ohio. Founded by local historians Charles Webster Bryant, Crayton Black, and Francis Shepardson, the Society emerged as a response to the diminishing firsthand memories of Granville's early years, particularly after the town's 75th anniversary.
