Friday Reflections: Our Help In Weakness Too many Christians operate under the misconception that God helps us only when we have gone as far as we can go. In reality, His Spirit does not add to our strength, like some kind of spiritual steriod. Instead, when we admit we are powerless to help ourselves, the Holy Spirit gives us the strength we need to face any challenge with absolute confidence in God. (John 14:16-17) (fb)
Wednesday Reflections: His Strength Fills Us Life often crowds in and saps the strength we need for the truly important things in our lives. Sometimes, we just don't have the strength we need to fulfill the Lord's purpose for us. We find it difficult to serve, to use our gifts or even to realize the dreams God gave us. But if we ask God for strength, He gives it to us. His strength fills us with life to complete the things He wants us to do. It also opens our eyes to the wonder of God's work through us. (Psalm 138:3) (fb)
