Recently, Child Resources Specialists Morgan and Taylor from LSSI’s Champaign and Danville foster care program spoke as part of the Central/Southern Illinois Synod of the ELCA WELCA fall gathering (Women of the ELCA). They presented on LSSI’s programs statewide, with a special focus on foster care and the need for foster parents locally and statewide. The gathering’s theme, hosted at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, ELCA in Champaign, was “My Cup Overflows,” and we certainly feel that way about the support and advocacy from the congregations in attendance.
