Preston Bradley Center is a Center For Health, Wellness, Music, Culture & Community Engagement . . A Landmark Structure on the National Register if Historic Places Located in Uptown's Historic & Entertainment District of Chicago. The Preston Bradley Center mission:  "to ensure the well-being of this historic building, to provide refuge and service to the poor, and to be a resource to the community in Uptown."  The historic building is owned by the Peoples Church of Chicago, and is supported in part by its space-sharing partners, which include a theater, two other churches, a symphonic band, an arts center with shared studio space, and men's transitional housing. PBC is a center for community, spirituality, and the arts, serving people of the neighborhood and the city alike.PBC is located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, halfway between the Loop and Evanston. This neighborhood has been a center for early cinema and a posh address (in the 1920s and 30s), and more recently, a gateway to the city for immigrants - over 100 languages are spoken in the local schools.PBC has hosted musical performances, aldermanic debates, Martin Luther King celebrations, and community meetings of all sorts. It continues to foster events in keeping with its historic role as the home of the Rev. Dr. Preston Bradley, whose foresight and commitment to social causes made him a leader in Chicago's spiritual and community life during the 20th century.
