Founded in 1968, the Friends of the Chula Vista Library is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the support of the Chula Vista Public Library and the Chula Vista Heritage Museum through advocacy, fundraising and volunteerism. The mission of the Friends of the Chula Vista Library is to support the Chula Vista Public Library and Chula Vista Heritage Museum through volunteerism, fund-raising, and public advocacy. Our members augment library programs and services through volunteer hours and financial support. The Friends solicit and receive donations, grants, endowments, and bequests on behalf of the Library. We also focus public attention on the value and services of the Library and advocate for the Library to the general public and members of the City Council.
