Our mission is to bring joy into the lives of children facing health, emotional or socioeconomic challenges while offering teenagers the opportunity to experience the incredible joy of giving of oneself.  Dressed in "Big Animal" costumes, we regularly visit children in hospitals, family shelters and charitable events. A majority of our events support kids at Rady Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Kaiser Hospital, as well as organizations such as: The Make a Wish Foundation, the San Diego Center for Children, Christie’s Place and ChildHel000 children annually. The Big Animals Teen Program offers community service certificates for junior & senior high school students that choose to enrich their lives and experience the joy of giving by entertaining the younger ones.     The Big Animals Teen Program has scores of volunteers from San Pasqual Academy who have participated actively in the program since 2001.  It is especially poignant since these foster kids lives often have not involved a lot of love or trust. By entertaining the younger children, they are learning the awesome power of giving of oneself while enhancing their self-esteem. This is perhaps the most important educational lesson of all!
