This happens fairly often and normally I can talk people through it but in this case I had to step in, or should I say jump in and snag this big Florida softshell turtle who had been swimming around in here for a couple days. (fb)

Warning some graphic images The newest gator case and this poor young gator was hit by a car! The injury to the face and right eye is pretty bad as well as a dislocated shoulder, but this gator still has a lot of fight and can see very well out of the other eye. The bandage around the jaw is loose, so there is freedom to open and close the mouth while resting. Hopefully, this one will pull through, but there is a long road ahead that may also include surgery. We are in the early stages of stabilization, so we are coming up with the best possible plan for treatment and hopefully a recovery!
