As this fiscal year closes, we wanted to say: GRACIAS FOR JOINING US! This is just a snippet of the work our board and collective has cultivated throughout the year. This year we had the opportunity to heartstorm, develop, and present: - 2 artist residencies with Rachel Hernandez and Danzel Washington that were in benefit to high school youth from AB Miller High School Dance Conservatory. - 1 artist residency partnership between Primera Generación Dance Collective, Show Box LA, and UC Riverside students, faculty, and staff - Offer 4 free-to-the-community workshops - Fund 6 artist projects - Present the biannual (de) Color-Es Festival 2023 that was generously funded by DCA and California Arts Council Grants. - Find a “Thinking Through the Archives” workshop with taisha paggett, Tara Aisha Willis, and Jaime Shearn Cohen - Impact over 200 BIPOC youth and first-gen students - Provide equitable and accessible programming to over 1000 participants GRACIAS FOR JOINING OUR YEAR!
