A member of the Ivy League, Penn is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world THE UNIVERSITY CLUB AT PENN, INC. (THE "UNIVERSITY CLUB") FUNCTIONS AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA (THE "UNIVERSITY"), AN ORGANIZATION EXEMPT FROM TAX BY VIRTUE OF BEING DESCRIBED IN SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THE PURPOSE OF THE UNIVERSITY CLUB IS TO PROVIDE A PLACE TO MEET AND A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION, WHEREBY UNIVERSITY BUSINESS CAN BE FACILITATED AND FELLOWSHIP, COLLEGIALITY, AND COMMUNICATION AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE FACULTY AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY MAY BE PROMOTED. THE UNIVERSITY CLUB AIMS TO ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF THE UNIVERSITY, ITS SCHOOLS, DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES THROUGH ITS PRESENCE IN THE PUBLIC ARENA OF THE UNIVERSITY. THE UNIVERSITY CLUB PROVIDES VARIOUS SERVICES TO THE DEPARTMENTS, FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT PENN INCLUDING: - A BUFFET DINING ROOM, WHICH SEATS 120 GUESTS, AND IS MODERATELY PRICED TO BETTER ACCOMMODATE STUDENTS AND FACULTY. - A PRIVATE DINING ROOM FOR GROUPS OF 8 - 10 TO MEET AND DINE. -
