Providing free science education for all since 1855. See our website for programs or visit our preserved Victorian museum! The Wagner Free Institute of Science is dedicated to providing free public education in science. It fulfills its mission by offering adult education courses; children's lessons and programs; by operating a natural history museum open to the public; and by providing public tours, special seminars, and symposia. In keeping with the Articles of Incorporation, all programs are offered free of charge. The Institute also maintains natural history specimens for scientific study and a library and archive for scholarly research. A National Historic Landmark, the Institute is committed to the preservation of its historic building and collections and to providing education on the history and development of science in America.
