BRAVO! We are so grateful to our nearly 200 BRAVO volunteers for their time, creativity, and support in 2024-2025. Special thanks to Anna and A.J. Tusa for hosting our spring meeting last month at Briquette. Lunch was delicious, and we enjoyed sharing the many successes of the season with our volunteers in this beautiful restaurant space. Congratulation to our BRAVO President, Marian Gibbs, and to our fundraising event chairs who helped raise over $170,000 for NOBA through innovative, mission-focused, and, most importantly, fun events and campaigns. 🌟 SPRING CONCERT SPOTLIGHT - DANCE FOR PARKINSON’S A cast of dancers from the @oscarjtolmastrust Dance for Parkinson’s Program will take the stage for the third year in a row as the opening performance of NOBA’s Spring Concert! This year’s choreography will be set to Dionne Warwick’s iconic rendition of “What the World Needs Now Is Love.” This song and theme resonated deeply with the Dance for Parkinson’s participants, and from there the creativity began to flow. Instructors Kelly Haber and April Dayok filmed the dancers’ improvised choreography and helped organize the pieces of the puzzle into an original new work through which every dancer is represented. Participation in Dance for Parkinson’s performance opportunities provides dancers opportunities for exploring creativity, movement, and expression while developing the confidence and courage. “I feel so ready for the stage!” one participant shares. We cannot wait to see the magic come together this Sunday! Dance for Parkinson’s is designed to promote healthy, enjoyable movement for individuals living with Parkinson’s or other movement challenges.
