Zion Education Center
Specializing in education, nutrition, health, and physical development to children and youth ages 1 to 18 within the Mercer County, PA community. The only Keystone STAR 4 facility in Mercer County with free Infant/Toddler and Pre-K Counts slots. Zion Education Center opened on March 1, 1995 in Farrell, PA as a family-based home and transformed its operation into a full service education center for students ages 2-18. ZEC has participated in the PA Keystone STARS quality rating system since 2002 and has maintained a STAR-3 rating for 13 consecutive years. Services include free pre-kindergarten, after school programs, child care food program, early childhood mental health, and AmeriCorps. Zion Education Center is committed to empowering young children to excel beyond their environment and exceed their potential. We believe this is necessary in order to prepare the next generation to rebuild our community with innovative approaches that will break generational cycles of poverty.
