Meet Archie! He’s not ready for adoption yet so we won’t be able to discuss that at this time. We can discuss his situation for education and preparation as kitten season is occurring. A young lady and her son saw Archie on the side of the road. While it may seem that someone “dumped” him there, that most likely is not the situation. The extent of feline overpopulation is so significant, it’s hard to comprehend. There are literally kittens everywhere along with adults not spay/neutered. When Archie was spotted, they stopped and helped him. They looked for signs of mom or other siblings and found no one. At 1.12 lbs., about 5 weeks old, and alone by a road, Archie was one who needed to be contained. The nice lady called and made an appointment at the vet for him She wanted to make sure he was OK! She didn't ask for funding for his appointment, yet she received funding from tri county humane society PRINCETON illinois! Thank you!! We are so happy we had space for him! Unfortunately, we will not have space for all the requests and community member help will be needed to keep them safe. What would you do if you find kitten(s) in need? Are you able to set up a small area for them and help them until you can find safe placement in a no kill rescue? No kill rescue placement most likely won’t be immediate and your assistance will be needed. It takes all of us to help our community cats! Mopsee went home last night! Tonight, Trixie and Pocus will be calling Mopsee's mom, grandma! That's right! When her family saw Mopsee and heard about her siblings, they decided to call Trixie And Pocus "mine" Trixie and Pocus will spend some time in segregation to adjust and they will have a 8 year old brother in addition to this sweet little sister who so kindly and gently petted them and Pocus snuggled right up to that little hand, nudging for more pets!
